Global Holdings Management Group has pre-filed plans for a 173-unit residential project at 1841 Broadway (corner of 60th), the Real Deal has reported.

The plan is for the new tower to stand 24 stories tall and hold 173,000 square feet of space (162,000 square feet of residential space and 12,000 square feet of commercial space).

The current building at 1841 Broadway is 100% commercial and stands 12 stories. There is a Starbucks on the ground floor and various offices above.

SLCE Architects has been contracted to head the design.

This new development is just about a block away from 1865 Broadway, another upcoming tower which will be the home of the Columbus Circle Target opening next year.

Global Holdings also owns the nearby 1845 Broadway and 1880 Broadway.
