doordash grants

Two UWS restaurants won grants to help them prosper through winter. DoorDash awarded the $5,000 grants to Pappardella and Seven Hills Mediterranean Grill. The funds are to be used in order to properly winterize the restaurant’s outdoor dining setups.

Pier 72 closed

Pier 72 has closed after 41 years. While a GoFundMe campaign has raised a substantial amount of money pretty quickly, it hasn’t been enough to keep the diner’s doors open.

bald eagle sighting nyc

Bald eagles were spotted flying in Central Park. A flock of five were seen flying over the reservoir on Sunday morning, as well as in Riverside Park near West 60th Street.

Mamoun's Falafel

Mamoun’s Falafel will be opening on the UWS. The popular downtown falafel joint will open at 508 Columbus Avenue, between 84th and 85th Streets.

Only Murders in the Building Steve Martin Hulu

Steve Martin films new series on UWS. It was the first day of filming for an upcoming Hulu series called “Only Murders in the Building,” which will also star Martin Short and Selena Gomez.
