Pappardella and Seven Hills Mediterranean Grill recently won grants from DoorDash to help winterize their outdoor dining setups, Patch first reported.
Italian restaurant Pappardella is located at 316 Columbus Avenue, at 75th Streets, and Turkish and Mediterranean eatery Seven Hills is located at 158 West 72nd Street, between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues. The restaurants have respectively been open since 1983 and 2007.
In partnership with the NYC Hospitality Alliance, DoorDash awarded each restaurant – along with 100 others – with $5,000 grants, which will help them pay for equipment to continue operating through the colder months while adhering to COVID-19 restrictions.
Eligibility requirements included that all restaurants applying for the grants be located in NYC, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia, San Francisco or San Jose, must have no more than 3 stores, no more than $3 million in revenue per store, and must employ 50 or fewer people per store.

Yesterday I wrote a comment hoping that Viande restaurant on 75th and Broadway would receive such a grant. The food is good, the staff works so hard to offer it’s customers excellent service and a positive caring attitude. I hope that someone in the city or state recognizes this. It really is a great place to eat and so important for the neighborhood.
