The Hulu comedy that recast the Upper West Side’s Belnord as the fictional Arconia — one of television’s most recognizable addresses — is packing its bags for season six, and it is not traveling light.

Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) are crossing the Atlantic to investigate the death of true-crime podcaster Cinda Canning (Tina Fey), who collapsed at the Arconia’s front gate in the fifth-season finale just as the trio pressed play on her new London-set podcast about a red-haired woman accused of killing a royal descendant. To populate that overseas mystery, the series has lined up at least 20 new guest stars, according to AV Club — a roster deep enough to fill an entire wing of the Arconia.The headliners alone read like a British awards-season afterparty: David Tennant (Doctor Who, Marvel’s Jessica Jones), Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton), and Jim Broadbent (Moulin Rouge!, the Harry Potter films). They are joined by Jodie Whittaker (the first female Doctor on Doctor Who), Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd), Kathryn Hunter (Andor), Simone Ashley (Bridgerton), Martin Freeman (The Hobbit, Sherlock, Fargo), Anjana Vasan, Derek Jacobi (Gladiator, The King’s Speech), Geri Halliwell-Horner (Ginger Spice of the Spice Girls), Jamie Demetriou (Cruella), Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey), Jane Horrocks, Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous), Sean Teale, Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood (Heartstopper), Matthew Beard, and Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters).
It remains unclear whether any of them will play themselves, a recurring gag the show has pulled off with the likes of Sting, Mel Brooks, Eugene Levy, and Eva Longoria. Hulu has confirmed that Da’Vine Joy Randolph will return as Detective Donna Williams, while fans are still waiting to see whether favorites like Nathan Lane make the trip overseas.

The move has been in the works since last fall, when the show was renewed but confirmed it was leaving the Upper West Side. For longtime locals, the exit closes a chapter that began at The Belnord, the landmarked West 86th Street building whose courtyard exterior doubled as the Arconia and that has hosted famous residents at The Belnord of its own over the decades.An official Season 6 premiere date has not yet been announced.
