Mardi Gras in NYC

Last modified on July 31st, 2018

It’s Mardi Gras in NYC! On Tuesday, February 13th, The Gotham Kings Mardi Gras Celebration will be performing authentic Creole jazz at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola at 60th and Broadway (5th floor of the Time Warner Center.) Have yourselves a fancy dinner at one of the lovely Lincoln Center restaurants and head over to this performance for a swinging good time!

There will be a 7:30pm and a 9:30pm performance, and the cover price is $35 (or $25 for students).

The Show

The performance will be led by star trumpeter Alphonso Horne. Engaging musicians and dancers will treat their audience to the infectious traditions of Creole jazz. The concert showcases the virtuosity of a young Louis Armstrong and the innovative genius of King Oliver, weaving the sounds of New Orleans into a rich musical fabric that uplifts and warms the soul. With special Mardi Gras drinks on the menu, the club will be in good spirits for the occasion.
