A young man was physically attacked and robbed by three strangers this weekend.
According to a police report, an 18-year-old male was approached while “walking to work” in front 515 West 59th Street (between West End and Amsterdam avenues) at about 4:40 p.m. on Sunday.

The three unknown suspects demanded his coat and “punched the victim in the head and upper body causing minor injuries and pain.”
“One of the individuals displayed a sharp object and attempted to stab the victim,” police state.
The three suspects pushed the victim to the ground and stole his coat and wallet before fleeing on foot west on 59th Street.
The victim was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai West in stable condition. There are no arrests and an investigation remains ongoing.
