A woman was targeted by two thieves on the morning of Thanksgiving.
It happened at about 8:38 a.m. when a 41-year-old female was approached by two strangers on 65th and Central Park West.
NYPD officials say the male suspects “distracted her and proceeded to remove her cellphone and credit card from inside of her purse.”
The perpetrators ran off in an unknown direction, later using her credit card without her knowledge or authorization.
Police describe the first suspect “as a male with dark complexion and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.”
Police describe the second suspect “as a male with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing white and black flannel jacket, blue jeans and white shoes.”
Anyone with relevant information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by sending a direct message to @NYPDTips on Twitter.
Strange, CPW in the west 60s would have been extraordinarily crowded because of the parade. Though indirectly crowds can abet this kind of robbery.
Being mugged at 65th and Central Park West during a major parade is passing by? That’s…quite the thing, I must say!
Why is anyone surprised? Alvin Bragg and most of city council members have essentially decriminalized robbery and unfortunately the result is this. We get what we vote for. Enjoy!
Your absolutely correct. We reap what we sow.
If these two are ever arrested they will be out the same day.
