Wells Fargo is celebrating the grand opening of its newest Upper West Side branch with an afternoon party for the neighborhood, and some guests will go home with tickets to the New York City Ballet.
The celebration is set for Monday, November 9 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the new branch at 1960 Broadway at West 66th Street, just steps from Lincoln Center. A limited number of ballet tickets will be given away, a nod to the branch’s neighbors in the performing arts. Guests can also enjoy refreshments and pick up Wells Fargo merchandise.
The afternoon will bring together customers, local organizations, community partners and officials. Wells Fargo’s senior leaders will be there to talk about the bank’s investment in the neighborhood.
“The Upper West Side is one of New York’s most iconic neighborhoods, and we’re incredibly excited to grow our presence here,” said Daniel Hoke, Wells Fargo’s Business Growth Strategy Executive. “This new branch reflects our commitment to investing in New York and being an even bigger part of the communities we serve.”
The party is also a first look at Wells Fargo’s latest branch design. The Broadway & 66th location was designed to make banking feel more personal and approachable. It has a multi-sensory environment, informational displays and a floor plan that leaves more room for conversations and consultations between customers and bankers.

“Our new branches are built around how customers want to bank today, combining modern technology with welcoming spaces where conversations can happen naturally,” Hoke said. “Broadway & 66th brings that vision to life, giving our bankers more opportunities to connect with customers, understand their goals and provide the guidance they need.”
The new branch is part of Wells Fargo’s continued expansion in New York, as the bank builds a more neighborhood-focused branch network. It now has 29 branches in Manhattan and more than 90 across New York.
Wells Fargo is also teaming up with several local businesses for the occasion, so the food and refreshments will come from neighborhood favorites.
