While there’s no shortage of great pizza on the Upper West Side, Motorino at 510 Columbus Ave. (between 84th and 85th streets) might hold the crown for the top spot. Just ask Sam Sifton, the New York Times columnist who wrote that Motorino’s pizza was, “the best in the city” in 2010 after a visit to the original location in Williamsburg.
And if that’s not a good enough reason to visit Motorino UWS, the global Neapolitan pizza parlor is offering an absolutely unbeatable deal.
Customers who order two pies for delivery or takeout can get the third for free. What’s the catch, you ask? Just order in person or by phone. But is that even a catch if it saves you service fees from the likes of Grubhub and UberEats?
If three pies is more than you can handle, try the takeout or delivery lunch special which includes a pizza and salad for just $17.50.
Motorino was started in Brooklyn by Belgian-born chef Mathieu Palombino. The brand soon expanded not only to the East Village but also globally. Motorino now has restaurants in NYC, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Dubai, the Philippines and Singapore.
Motorino’s accolades are global as well. In addition to Sifton’s praises in the NYT, Motorino was internationally recognized as the eleventh best artisanal pizza chain in the world (and the best outside Italy) by an Italian website, 50 Top Pizza.
Among its many menu options for Neapolitan style pizza are Don Dom (tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, primosale, parmigiano, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil), Cherrystone Clam (fior di latte mozzarella, fresh cherrystone clams, oreganata butter, and lemon), Soppressata Piccante (tomato sauce, fior di latte mozzarella, soppressata, chili flakes, oregano, and extra virgin olive oil), and Cremini Mushroom (fior di latte mozzarella, sweet italian sausage, cremini mushrooms, gaeta olives, garlic, thyme, pecorino, and extra virgin olive oil).

Sides and starters like baby kale caesar salad, octopus and potato salad, and Motorino meatballs complete the menu. And if you want to try your hand at homemade Neapolitan pizza, Motorino even offers dough to go!
