Public court records show that Oscar Delgado was arrested on Monday on four related charges after allegedly sexually abusing the sisters at Riverside Terrace (350 West 88th Street), which opened last year to house “both migrant families and local NYC families,” according to an email from the West Side Community Organization at the time. (The Department of Social Services never confirmed the specific residents living at Riverside Terrace, i.e., whether they were all asylum seekers, families, etc).
Police sources told the Post that Delgado approached the girls on Monday in the hallway of the building as they were playing “and allegedly squeezed the buttocks of the older girl, fondled her and attempted to put his hands in her pants,” the Post writes. Cops told the publication that Delgado then touched the 8-year-old’s private parts outside of her clothing.
Public records show that Delgado’s initial court appearance was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was moved to Weds, November 27.
Specific charges include Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree, Forcible Touching, and Acting in a Manner Injurious to a Child.
