Upper West Side Man Arrested for Forcible Touching

Police say an Upper West Side man was arrested this week for a forcible touching incident on a southbound A train platform.

Jermaine Longmire, 43, was apprehended by the Manhattan Special Victims Unit at about 6 p.m. on Thursday. The victim was 27 years old.

Longmire, who lives in a NYCHA building on West 104th Street between Columbus and Manhattan avenues, was arrested on similar charges on March 4 and on June 15, 2023, according to public records. He was also arrested on April 19 on bail jumping charges.

The Manhattan Special Victims Squad requests that anyone who may have experienced harm from this perpetrator contact them at 212-694-3000, or the Special Victims Division at 646-610-7272.

The same man appears to have been the subject of a 2017 article by Ocala.com entitled “Psych hospital patient accused of sex assault,” as the Florida-based publication states he was 36 at the time of that incident.
