Upper West Side Child Reported Missing for At Least Third Time

The NYPD has issued an alert about an Upper West Side teenager who has been missing for over two weeks. Police ask that anyone with information of his whereabouts contact them right away.

According to the report, 16-year-old Andrew Ahtay, a Hispanic male who resides at 210 West 64th Street (between West End and Amsterdam avenues), was “last seen leaving his residence on Monday, May 5, 2025, at approximately [7:10 a.m.]. The missing is described as having a thin build, a medium complexion, brown eyes, and black hair.”

We Googled Andrew Ahtay’s name and found that he was also reported missing in both January 2020 and September 2020, when he was respectively 10 and 11 years old. In both instances, he was last seen at or within a few blocks of the same Upper West Side building, which is part of NYCHA’s Amsterdam Houses.
