The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has reopened the TurnStyle Underground Market, located within the Columbus Circle Subway Station.
The market was closed at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March.
A ceremony and press conference began at 12pm on Wednesday, October 14, with guests including Janno Lieber, President of MTA Construction & Development, Susan Fine, Developer of Turnstyle Underground Market, and various business owners.
The TurnStyle Underground Market features 39 retailers with shops and kiosks offering a mix of food and drink, apparel, pet products and more.
TurnStyle businesses include Merchant’s Gate, a bar which serves old-school New York street foods, Dylan’s Candy Bar, Dog and Co., Mulberry & Grand, Baked in Color, Posies, Hell’s Kitchen Hot Sauce and more.
