Thieves Target Wealthy Gym-Goers, Snatch Wallets from Lockers

The NYPD has issued an alert about three incidents of grand larcenies which were committed between December 17 and January 15 at upscale fitness centers throughout NYC, with one of the acts taking place on the Upper West Side. Police are hoping someone from the general public will be able to assist them in identifying and locating the wanted individuals.

Each reported incident—which was essentially identical, according to the police report—qualifies as grand larceny as the items stolen exceeded $1,000 in value.
