Suspect Steals $10,000 from Woman at Bank

NYPD officials have issued an alert about a grand larceny incident that took place on the Upper West Side earlier this month. (This robbery qualifies as grand larceny because the value of the stolen property exceeds $1,000.)

Police are hoping someone from the public will be able to assist them in identifying and locating the wanted individual.

According to the police report, the incident occurred on Wednesday, February 12 at about 1 p.m., when “an unidentified male removed an envelope containing $10,000 dollars from a 52-year-old female victim inside of Citibank located at 2350 Broadway” at the southeast corner of West 86th Street.

Police say the suspect fled the location on foot in an unknown direction, but surveillance cameras were able to capture his image.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
