It was reported to police that on Thursday, August 29 at about 3:55 a.m., a 23-year-old male victim was approached by three unknown individuals while traveling on the uptown D train in the vicinity of Central Park West and Cathedral Parkway. The suspects forcibly removed the victim’s chain and earrings, took a cell phone out of the victim’s right hand, and removed the sneakers from his feet before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Police also state that at about 3:15 p.m. on Friday, a man’s face was slashed following a verbal argument at the subway station on 72nd and Broadway.

According to WABC, the victim, a 26-year-old, told the suspect “he needed to pay the fare in order to enter the station.” Police say the suspect then “punched and slashed the victim in the face” before fleeing the station. The victim was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
