The NYPD has announced that the suspect who assaulted beloved actor Rick Moranis on the morning of October 1 has been apprehended and arrested.

The suspect was 35 year old Marquis Ventura, who was arrested Saturday when spotted by police officers at the subway station at 72nd and Broadway, just a few blocks away from 70th and Central Park West, where the October incident took place.

The 67 year old Moranis is best known for his roles in Honey I Shrunk the Kids, the first two Ghostbusters movies, Spaceballs and Little Shop of Horrors.

I’m sure this wasn’t the first crime he has committed and I’m also sure he is going to be back on the street very soon….. if he isn’t already out!

I loved the other article where it stated Moranis seemed to do nothing to incite the attack. I really did wonder whether a 67 y/o was going around picking fights with thugs like this.
