During a Community Board 7 meeting in March, co-owner Giorgi Papiashvili–who owns the restaurant with Sophio Marcellus–said the new outpost will have more food options than the Morningside Heights location, since it comes with a full kitchen. He also said they anticipate hosting private events a few times a month, and mentioned potentially having live jazz (which is something they currently do uptown).

Sipsteria offers espressos, organic and natural wines, tapas, cheese and charcuterie boards and “Georgian Gastronomy,” per the eatery’s Instagram page. The menu also includes a variety of croissants, cookies, pastries, sandwiches, breads and more, along with Colombian and Ethiopian coffee.
