The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying an individual wanted in connection with 11 robberies across the city in about a week, some of which happened on the Upper West Side.

According to the police report, the suspect approached victims while on a moped, displayed a knife and forcibly took money, jewelry and cellphones. All 11 incidents happened between Wednesday, Aug. 19 and Wednesday, Aug. 26.The robberies took place within seven precincts. On the Upper West Side, that includes the 20th Precinct, which covers the neighborhood’s southern half, and the 24th Precinct, which covers its northern half. The others took place within the 1st Precinct (Financial District, Tribeca, Battery Park City and part of SoHo), the 6th Precinct (Greenwich Village and the West Village), the 10th Precinct (Chelsea and Hudson Yards), the 18th Precinct (Midtown West, including Hell’s Kitchen and Times Square) and the 94th Precinct (Greenpoint, Brooklyn). The report doesn’t say how many of the robberies happened in each precinct or give specific locations.
