According to the NYPD, the suspect hit three banks along Broadway between May 26 and June 1, walking up to tellers, passing a note demanding cash, and displaying a bag before fleeing on foot each time. The robberies all fell within the confines of the 24th Precinct, and police are now asking for the public’s help identifying the man.

The first incident unfolded on Tuesday, May 26, at around 3:10 p.m., when the individual entered the Bank of America at 2770 Broadway (at 107th Street), approached a teller, and showed a note demanding money along with a bag. No money was handed over, and he ran off westbound on 107th Street. No one was hurt.

Just over an hour later, at approximately 4:18 p.m. that same afternoon, police say the man walked into the TD Bank at 2521 Broadway (at 94th Street) and used the same routine. This time he made off with roughly $1,700, fleeing northbound on Broadway. Again, there were no reported injuries.

The pattern picked back up on Monday, June 1, at about 4:35 p.m., when the suspect entered the TD Bank at 2831 Broadway (at 109th Street), displayed a note and a bag to a teller, and left with approximately $800 before fleeing southbound on Broadway. No injuries were reported in that incident either.

Police describe the individual as a male with a light complexion and a medium build, with tribal tattoos on his arms.
