
The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with an assault on a woman who was out for a morning jog last month.
The incident happened at about 7:50 a.m. on Thursday, September 10 near West 59th Street and 12th Avenue, according to the police report. The 27-year-old victim was jogging on the bike path when the man approached her from behind and threw a blunt object at the back of her head, the report says.
The suspect fled on foot, and the victim was treated at the scene in stable condition. The incident falls within the Midtown North Precinct.
He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, dark-colored shorts, gray sneakers and a multicolored hat. The NYPD has released media of the suspect.
