Suspect Arrested for Fatal Stabbing Incident

Earlier this month, a 40-year-old man was pronounced dead after police discovered his body at an Upper West Side apartment building with multiple stab wounds to his neck.

NYPD officials were called to the scene at 140 West 104th Street (between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues)–part of the Frederick Douglass Houses, a NYCHA complex–on Friday, April 18 at about 11:57 p.m., following a call about an assault in progress.

The victim–who has since been identified as Shariff Clindinin–was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he succumbed to his injuries.

On Thursday, April 24, police announced that an arrest had been made in connection with this incident. David Felix, 43, who resides at the same 104th Street building, was booked on charges of 2nd Degree Murder and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree.
