Warm beautiful weather has finally graced us, and we’re in the mood for an ice-cold beer. Beer Run NYC, a bar and bottle shop, is slated to open at the end of this week or next, so gather your crew to satiate the craving.

Here you’ll have the choice to sit and chill at the bar, or grab-and-go from a wide selection of craft brews. Though Beer Run curates their selection of beers from around the world, the spot honors its’ New York roots, specializing in local brews.
Located at 547 Columbus Avenue (between 86th and 87th streets), this will be Beer Run’s third location, adding to their Chelsea and Harlem outposts.
The shop is owned and operated by John Hyun and Larry Good, a lifelong Upper West Sider and established restaurateur who also owns Toast 125 in Harlem and The Heights Bar & Grill near Columbia University.
According to Hyun, the UWS location will offer the “very best selection of beer on draft and to-go” in addition to natural wines on tap. There will be a small menu of bar bites including bratwurst and sauerkraut from a local purveyor and Sigmund’s Soft Pretzels.
Beer Run will also offer free weekly tastings and other events throughout the year. And, fun fact: the bar is assembling a ‘Beer Run Club’- a running group open to anyone that meets once a week in Central Park, followed by the satisfaction of a discounted beer.
Hyun says, “We are very excited about our new venture in the UWS! We can’t wait to be a part of the UWS community and share memories together while slipping back some cold beer!”
CONGRATULATIONS !! I can’t wait to go !!
That area desperately needs a well run business to brighten the block!
I’ll be by on Saturday, I promise!
I’m in for the Run Club too! Charter Member! ??????????
I’m already running 3/4 days a week, so adding Beer Run to my Run sounds perfect!!
– That’s why you run in the first place . . for food and drink! lol
I wish you great success ! ?
Larry Good is the kind of UWS businessman we love to support!
