So glad no one was hurt.
The UWS is becoming the Wild Wild West with women’s jewelry being stolen by men on scouters; shootings; stabbings; and bicyclists going fast and the wrong way on streets, avenues and sidewalks. We need someone to deal with these situations strongly ASAP. The current and past mayor aren’t/weren’t very good at dealing these growing problems.
Luther,
Hey, at least it’s not that wild across Broadway shootout in the low 100s after a Banco Popular robbery in the mid-1990s.
Who was mayor then? I don’t think it was while David D was still in office. Rudy took over on Jan. 1st 1994, when the murder rate was already steeply declining, which thankfully it did for the next 7 years, then there was that famed 1 day upspike that by itself set an annual murder rate for NYC that has never been matched or exceeded. Yes, Rudy could have done a better job at reducing that day’s murder total.
