Central Park West Dentistry, the longtime neighborhood practice that settled into a sleek new full-floor home last summer, has rolled out something for a group of New Yorkers who tend to put off the dentist for a very specific reason: they don’t have dental insurance. There’s no waiting period, no claims to file, and no health questionnaire to pass. If you’re uninsured, you’re in.
It’s called the Care+ Membership, and it starts at $64 a month with a one-time $125 enrollment fee. You can sign up at your first visit and it’s active immediately, so you don’t have to wait for a new plan year or an open enrollment window to start using it.
The membership covers the preventive care that keeps small problems from turning into expensive ones: cleanings, check-up exams, X-rays, oral cancer screenings and fluoride treatments, plus two emergency visit exams a year for when something unexpected comes up. For anything beyond that, members get 20% off most other treatment, and 10% off specialist care and Invisalign. It works like a gym membership rather than an insurance card: the benefits apply to care at CPW Dentistry, not at other offices.
The $64 tier includes two cleanings a year. Plans with three or four cleanings are available for patients whose gums need a little more attention, and there’s a kids’ plan for children under 13. Your hygienist will help figure out which one makes sense at your first visit. The membership is a 12-month commitment, and it’s designed for people without dental insurance, since it can’t be combined with an existing plan or other promotions.
One thing the practice wants to be clear about: you don’t need the membership to be a patient. It’s an optional way to make the cost of care more predictable, especially for freelancers, retirees and anyone whose job doesn’t come with dental benefits.
CPW Dentistry is at 1881 Broadway, between West 62nd and 63rd streets, on the fourth floor of the modern space it moved into in August 2025. The practice is open seven days a week, with evening appointments Monday through Friday until 8 p.m. and weekend hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
