The one-year anniversary of New Plaza Cinema will be January 28th, and they’ll be hosting a benefit event to celebrate the occasion (and to acknowledge the closing of Lincoln Plaza Cinema).
There will be tributes to both Dan Talbot, the founder of Lincoln Plaza Cinema, and director Bernardo Bertolucci.
Talbot brought his films to America, so to honor them together, there will be a screening of Bertolucci’s “The Conformist”.
After the screening, there will be an interview with Dan Talbot’s partner, Toby Talbot, who will discuss both New Plaza Cinema’s growth and the impact left by New Plaza Cinema. Wine and dessert will be offered as well.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, January 18, at 10:00am.
