Ortomare Ristorante Pizzeria, which opened in 2019 at 994 Columbus Avenue (at 109th Street), has rebranded and is now called Verdello. The restaurant, which still serves authentic Italian cuisine, has been remodeled and features a new menu “with a bit of modern twist,” the owners tell us. As Ortomare, the restaurant finished its run with very positive reviews, and that trend appears to be continuing under the new name, with reviewers noting its brick oven pizza and rustic atmosphere, among other things.

Aura Studio opened this month at 239 West 72nd Street (between Broadway and West End Avenue). “Aura is a space where luxury meets community, where movement becomes a ritual, and where every experience is a chance to connect—with yourself and others,” the yoga and pilates studio shared in a May 18 Instagram post. Aura’s website lists out the class schedule and a variety of memberships and packages.
Signage for Silver Mirror Facial Bar is up at 2305 Broadway (between 83rd and 84th streets), with a projected opening in the fall. The skincare business, which will be taking the space previously occupied by Bluemercury, offers a variety of facials, chemical peels, and Botox and Juvederm filler services. The company currently has four locations in NYC, along with outlets in Miami and Washington, D.C.

@TradedNY reports that a pho place, “Pho Broadway,” has leased space at 2058 Broadway (between 70th and 71st streets), which was previously home to Joe Coffee. The outlet also shared a post about Calico Veterinary NYC leasing a 3,300 square foot space on the seventh floor of 2067 Broadway (between 71st and 72nd streets)
