PWR NYC, a boutique gym that opened last year at 2284 Broadway (between 82nd and 83rd streets), recently opened its second location at 143 West 72nd Street (between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues). PWR NYC offers small group classes, one-on-one training, and duet personal training (for two people).

Signage for a new deli is up at 600 Columbus Avenue at the corner of West 89th Street, which was previously home to a 7-Eleven that closed in 2021. According to the exterior graphics, area residents should be expecting items like salads, wraps, paninis, smoothies, halal food and more. Thanks to Jennifer Allen for the tip and photo.

The Cutting Edge Barbershop has just opened its doors at 580 Amsterdam Avenue (between 88th and 89th streets). Thanks to MJ Andrews at @nyc_citywalk for the tip and photos. Their list of services and prices can be found here. TCE’s reviews are solid so far.

Grassroots Fitness is opening a second Upper West Side location at 250 West 106th Street (corner of Broadway) on April 27, according to the business’ Instagram bio. The business, which has another location at 371 Amsterdam Avenue (between 77th and 78th streets), offers a variety of classes for both adults and children, and was first launched in 2004. The new space, according to @TradedNY, will occupy the second and third floor of 250 West 106th Street and will span 2,800 square feet. The asking rent was $21,000 per month.

An Auntie Anne’s and Carvel combo store has opened at 2818 Broadway at West 109th Street (thanks to Dave Cook at Eating In Translation for the tip). Auntie Anne’s and Carvel are both owned by GoTo Foods, which is owned by a private equity firm. The corner space that’s currently papered over will be home to a Taco Bell in the near future. Taco Bell is owned by Yum! Brands, Inc.

Aritzia, a woman’s fashion retailer based in Canada, has signed a lease to open a 16,000+ square foot store at the Shops at Columbus Circle @TradedNY reports. This will be Aritzia’s third Manhattan location.
