Mother’s Day is upon us and the Upper West Side is offering tons of activities for the holiday. Show your mom how much you appreciate her by spending the day together. Take her out to brunch or bring her with you to a concert. Here are some ways in which you can make your mom feel special on her most important day!
Mother’s Day Weekend, May 14 – 10 to 5pm
Children’s Museum of Manhattan
For those moms with little ones in tow, there’s no better way to celebrate the holiday than at CMOM. The museum has planned a day full of activities honoring the mother figure in their lives. A workshop called “Mother’s Day Pillows” invites those children aged 6 and up to create their very own pillows. They’ll be using special fabrics, markers, and stuffing during the design process. Moms will treasure the secret message hidden inside each gift pillow. During “Heart-Shaped Seed Pods”, children will get to experience the many joys of hands-on gardening. Their duty will be to plant heart-shaped seed bombs to be later given as a gift. Another wonderful event instructed by Yogi Diana Vasquez will teach them all about yoga. They’ll learn how to make stretches fun by using their imagination. A fun day awaits at the CMOM this Mother’s Day!

Posies is a cozy flower shop that specializes in creating bouquets that are affordable and of high quality. A bouquet is always a great idea but many times we find ourselves doubting over which types of flowers to buy. No need to worry anymore. At Posies, you can ask the helpful staff to select a flower arrangement according to your mom’s personality traits. They’ve got a wide variety of fresh flowers of different textures, colors, shapes, and sizes. If you have a mom that loves gardening, they also have plenty of home accessories. Some of them include Italian terra cotta pots, beeswax candles, artisanal chocolates and so much more. Feel free to take your mom to one of their Flower Social classes.
