The incident took place shortly after 8 a.m. this morning near the West 96th Street 1/2/3 subway station on Broadway.
Police officials say the victim was a 26-year-old man who the suspect stabbed in the buttocks. The victim was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.
A local food vendor who witnessed the attack told amNewYork that the 26-year-old victim collapsed outside the T-Mobile store across the street from the station.
Video shared on Citizen shows blood on the sidewalk outside of the T-Mobile store and blue police tape containing the scene. A police officer can also be seen asking a nearby building manager (who seems to have witnessed the incident) for his information.

“He stabbed him outside of the train station,” the food vendor told amNewYork. “I didn’t see the [stabbing] because I was working, but he [the victim] laid down here and the ambulance came.”

Just look at the suspect in the March 21st story about 13 people wanted for an attack.
Wearing black pants and a blue bubble jacket.
Grab the young babies, hide the old ladies, the criminal dope fiends are stalking young fellers with cute butts heading fer the subway.
I figure I’m safer fighting off grizzly bear, tippy toein’ around bull moose and slinking’ past mountain lion out in the wilds of the Great Snowies. But since I’m here, deep in the benthos of the Upper West Side?
I’ll just hole up til there’s a new tough-on-crime mayor and gun laws get loose again.
Great, then the thugs have guns.
Just what we need. More guns. Yet every time we add guns, more innocent people, not thugs, die.
When will we learn that guns don’t make us safer?
I just wish people voted for tough on crime laws. It’s gotten so out of control. The governor should fire Bragg. They have blood on their hands.
Then open up your wallets to pay for more cops and prisons.
But on the other hand you got people at the top paying NO taxes and those at the bottom who can’t afford any more.
We simply need to go back to the 90s, or even 2019, regarding a culture of law and order.
Police should ask the homeless family that live on that corner, or the smoke shop on that block.
Those two homeless people at 06 there are a menace, especially face tattoo guy. I hate walking there. Why are they allowed to take over that part of Broadway?
Ask Uncle Budd in the green pot truck. He’s there a lot, we might as well get something for it.
I wonder if the suspect was coming out of the smoke shop.
By thw way, at that time, there are literally 20 people on that corner. Many people saw it, and did nothing.
