A 74-year-old man was knifed in the arm during a confrontation aboard an Upper West Side bus on Friday evening, sending police searching for two suspects who bolted from the scene.

The attack unfolded around 6:39 p.m. on an M104 as it reached West 92nd Street and Broadway, according to the NYPD.The victim had been quarreling with another rider before he was stabbed in the left arm, police told us. Paramedics took him to St. Luke’s Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition and is expected to recover.
Two men fled the bus on foot and headed south on Broadway, the New York Daily News reported. One was described as wearing a red hat and tan shorts, the other in gray with blue jeans.
No arrests had been made as of Saturday, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
Per a police dispatch call transmitted via Citizen, the suspects are described as “one male Hispanic, approximately 20, wearing a red hat and a tan shirt,” and “one male Black, approximately 20, with gray blue jeans.” They were last seen headed south on Broadway, according to the officer heard on the call.
