Live Music Returns to Lincoln Center

Live music has returned to Lincoln Center for the first time since March. A new series, Lincoln Center New Stages, is taking place at two locations within Hearst Plaza: on the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Lawn and at Barclays Capital Grove. The pods in Barclays Capital Grove have chairs, but those on the lawn are on the ground so guests are encouraged to bring blankets.

As of writing, performances are scheduled to take place on Fridays and Saturdays through the month of October.

To ensure safe social distancing, audience members will sit in pods, which can accommodate two people and can be purchased for $25 (only though Lincoln Center’s website, below). Lincoln Center is limiting each purchase to a maximum of two pods.

Lincoln Center New Stages launched with its first performance on Friday, October 9.

Genres include chamber music, jazz, reggae, Caribbean, Bollywood-inspired and more.

Select performances will also be live-streamed for free on Lincoln Center’s website.
