Filming is set for Friday, October 23, around West 82nd Street and Central Park West, according to OLV, the account that tracks TV and movie shoots around the city. It’s not clear which episode the crew will be working on.The new season premiered on October 8, with episodes airing Thursdays at 10 p.m. on NBC and streaming the next day on Peacock, according to NBC. Hugh Dancy told the network the show is “intrinsically New York.”
The neighborhood has played that role plenty of times. The flagship series filmed along Columbus Avenue and on Central Park West between 76th and 77th Streets in December 2021, as it prepared to return to NBC after an 11-year break. In March 2024, the crew shot at 90th and West End.
“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” has been a regular too. Last August, the SVU crew filmed between 86th and 91st Streets, from Riverside Drive to Broadway. On the show, Olivia Benson’s address has been listed as 203 West 89th Street, according to Wolf Entertainment, though her apartment scenes weren’t filmed there.
This season also brings a change in the squad room. Reid Scott, who’s played Senior Detective Vincent Riley since Season 23, is leaving the show, and James Badge Dale (“24,” “Hightown,” “The Departed”) is joining as a new senior detective alongside David Ajala’s Detective Theo Walker, Deadline reported in July. Scott is filming a few episodes so Riley can get a proper send-off before Dale’s character arrives. The returning cast includes Hugh Dancy as ADA Nolan Price, Tony Goldwyn as District Attorney Nicholas Baxter, Odelya Halevi and Maura Tierney.
