La Terrine, located at 280 Columbus Avenue (corner of 73rd Street) will soon be closing for good. It’s closed over Labor Day weekend and the store’s final week will begin on Tuesday, September 8. Remaining stock will be sold for 50% off.
The linen and tableware store first opened on the Upper East Side in 1975. They opened on the Upper West Side in 2010, according to La Terrine’s Facebook page.
The company also sells products through its website; it appears that online sales will continue after La Terrine’s physical location closes.
The space is currently listed with Walker Malloy, asking $18,500 per month. In terms of approved uses for future tenants, the only listed restriction states “no cooking.”

Another empty storefront… They had such lovely, special items! A real shame.
Does anyone know how to contact the owners? I had a large credit for my wedding registry and never received notification that they were closing. Any help would be appreciated!
Hi Kendall, did you ever get this resolved? We are in the same boat…
