Fire at Lincoln Towers Draws Large Emergency Response

A Saturday evening fire at a high-floor apartment at the Lincoln Towers complex led to a huge emergency response.

The FDNY received reports of the 15th floor fire at 185 West End Avenue (between 66th and 70th streets), a 28-story building, at 8:30 p.m. A total of 20 units and 78 fire and EMS personnel were deployed to the scene.

The fire was deemed under control by 9:29 p.m., with one person with minor injuries transported to Mount Sinai West.

Video of the emergency response was taken and shared on Citizen, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
