Get ready for a cultural and cinematic rendezvous with the Films on the Green 2021 festival. The film festival, curated by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the US, returns to parks around Manhattan for its 13th year. After a turbulent year, this year’s theme, “Music and Cinema,” was inspired by the saying “music soothes the soul.”
The festival promises “an exciting lineup of international cinema” with a hybrid program that features both in-person and virtual screenings, which is a first for the festival. Both events will be free for audiences.
In-person screenings (all films start at 8:30pm):
Please note that in-person screenings will follow the latest state and local guidelines, which will implement face coverings for both volunteers and audiences, as well as socially distanced seating
