After opening on the triangular corner of 7th Avenue and Waverly Place in 2023, with a mere 16 square feet of indoor space, Fellini Coffee has parlayed its Italian charm and proprietary espresso blend into a growing mini-empire, with its fourth location set to open on the Upper West Side next week.

You’ll also find a double espresso macchiato ($4), Americano ($4), and cold brew ($5). You can add almond or oat milk for an extra dollar, or pistachio milk for $1.50. Anything iced adds 50 cents, as do vanilla, hazelnut, or caramel flavors. An extra shot of espresso is also a dollar.
More signature drinks at Fellini’s include the Sunrise Tonic ($8), featuring double espresso, grapefruit juice, tonic water, and a slice of orange. It’s the perfect way to get the lights, camera, action going to start your day. There’s also Glow Juice ($11), made with carrots, ginger, grapefruit, and passion fruit, designed to keep you shining until the break of dawn. Their Dirty Chai ($6) combines black tea and spices, steeped in milk and finished with a double shot of espresso.
Federico Fellini famously said, “Life is a combination of magic and pasta,” but you won’t find any on the menu here—at least, not yet. However, Fellini’s prosciutto croissant, served warm with San Daniele prosciutto, mozzarella di bufala, tomato bruschetta, and pesto, is a true molto bene (Italian for very good) at $14. There are also pizza options, like the humble Margherita with tomato sauce, fresh buffalo mozzarella, and basil, priced at $14. Their egg sandwich, served on a croissant with spinach and a cheese frittata, is available for $10.

Fellini’s pistachio olive oil cake tops the dessert lineup—light and fluffy, with sweet mascarpone and pistachio filling, priced at $10. A single croissant for those on the go is $5. There’s also the Fellini Rocher Cookie, filled with Nutella cream, gianduja, and praline, which we’ll probably sample when we visit, also priced at $5.
It’s worth noting that in November 2024, Fellini Coffee’s West Village location and its adjoining restaurant, Fellini Cucina, became the subject of a viral TikTok video by a former barista alleging food safety violations, including improper food storage and preparation practices. Three days after the video’s release, on November 6, the NYC Department of Health conducted an inspection of the establishment, citing multiple violations and assigning a score of 56 points—significantly above the 28-point threshold that typically results in a ‘C’ grade and may prompt closure for severe infractions. The restaurant’s management denied the allegations at the time, asserting compliance with health regulations.
Hours at Fellini’s range from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or sometimes as late as 11 p.m.—we’ll keep an eye out. Their Instagram notes their UWS opening is set for next week; check it out here.

Yeah, you seem to put a lot of people to sleep, ?.
Correction needed? Something is not checking out here. Barney Greengrass is 541 Amsterdam and it is between 86th and 87th. 583 Amsterdam can’t be between 85th and 86th, so either the street is wrong or the address is.
It’s 523, not 583 Amsterdam.
