On Tuesday, May 20, and Thursday, May 22, four experienced professionals will present a free seminar designed to provide attendees with the essential knowledge needed to confidently navigate the next chapter of life.
Each seminar will take place from 6–8 p.m. at 227 West 77th Street (The Larstrand), 3rd Floor Lounge. Refreshments will be served. Space is limited to 40 attendees each evening.

Eric Leopold (Moderator)
Eric Leopold, founder of Assisted Living Advisers, is a compassionate advocate who has helped hundreds of families navigate senior living options across the tri-state area. With more than a decade of experience, he understands the emotional and practical decisions involved in choosing assisted living for a loved one. Eric will offer insights into the amenities and services commonly provided by assisted living communities, as well as the different levels of care these residences can support.
Michael LaMagna
Michael LaMagna, LNHA, MPA, J.D., is an attorney specializing in Elder Law, Asset Protection, Trusts and Estates, and Health Care Law. Admitted to practice in NY, CT, Federal Court, and the U.S. Supreme Court — and a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in both states — Michael brings a wealth of experience advising healthcare facilities and teaching health law. He will guide attendees through essential legal planning topics, including key documents like Powers of Attorney and Health Care Proxies, why avoiding guardianship is often advisable, and strategies for asset protection through estate planning. He’ll also explain the differences between Community Medicaid and Straight Medicaid, including the important Medicaid look-back periods. “Without a plan, the court decides your future,” says LaMagna. “With a plan, you do.”
Jonathan Lowenberg
Jonathan Lowenberg, CEO of Wise Wellness Partners, is passionate about helping clients navigate the often confusing Medicare U.S. health insurance system. With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, wellness, and finance, he offers personalized Medicare guidance informed by both his professional expertise and his own healthcare journey. A former investment banker and business development executive, Jonathan holds a BBA degree from Emory University and MBA from NYU Stern Business School. He is a Licensed Insurance Agent in over 10 states throughout the country. . His seminar session will focus on demystifying the Medicare health insurance market, offering strategies for choosing the right plan based on individual needs, and providing a deeper understanding of Medicare options — all through a practical and empathetic lens.
Todd Weiss
Todd Weiss is a leading financial professional with more than 16 years of experience in the insurance and investment industries. Since joining Summit Financial in 2014, he has earned numerous honors, including Forbes’ ‘Best-In-State Top Financial Security Professional’ and MassMutual’s Chairman’s Club award. A graduate of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, Todd specializes in building wealth through whole life insurance and strategic investments. His session will explore different types of insurance products, the tax benefits and asset appreciation opportunities they offer, and the advantages of long-term care policies and riders.
