There’s a lot happening inside the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, and this fall, Upper West Siders are invited to come see it for themselves.
The JCC’s Fall Discovery Fair on Thursday, September 10 is an interactive open house designed for anyone who wants to learn more about the classes, programs, staff, experiences, and community available throughout the building. Whether you’re a longtime member, a neighborhood family, or simply someone who has always wondered what goes on inside the JCC, the afternoon offers an easy way to explore and discover something new.
The fair opens at 3 pm and runs through 7 pm, with activities happening throughout the afternoon. Guests can take part in mini classes and hands-on experiences, meet instructors and staff, ask questions, and learn about offerings in fitness, arts, Jewish life, children and families programming, and modern aging.
There will be hourly live demonstrations, along with fitness moments including stretch and balance, sit-to-stand, and Move Together, and fitness evaluations with personal trainers. Visitors can also stop by and “Ask the Rabbi,” explore Studio Arts, learn more about children’s programs, and discover opportunities designed for older adults.
As Rosh Hashanah approaches, the afternoon will also include an apple cake tasting at 4:30 pm, a special apples and honey gift bag, and other giveaways throughout the event.
For those who want a closer look at the building itself, group guided tours will be offered at 3:30 pm and 6:15 pm, and individual tours will be offered throughout.
Guests can also learn about special promotions on personal training, massage, and JCC membership.
