Casa Louie’s Waterline Square Location Officially Opens Tomorrow

A much-anticipated Italian restaurant is set to welcome its first guests at Waterline Square on Wednesday, May 20.

Casa Louie’s second location, at Three Waterline Square (645 West 59th Street), is opening its doors after months of buildup. We first shared news of the lease deal back in November, when Mad Restaurant Group inked a 15-year agreement on the roughly 3,300-square-foot former Empellón Taqueria space.

“Casa Louie officially lands at Waterline Square May 20,” the apartment complex and eatery shared on Instagram. “They will be open from 4-10 PM with 15% off all night for grand opening guests.”

The new space, designed by Sarah Carpenter, leans into a “sleek, nautical-inspired” aesthetic that nods to the building’s Hudson River setting. The menu mirrors the Hudson Yards original, with sourdough pizzas, handmade pastas, and a wide selection of gluten-free items. The Hot Louie — a Sicilian square topped with vodka sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni and hot honey — has emerged as the signature pie across press coverage and diner reviews.

Mad Restaurant Group’s portfolio spans 14 brands and more than 30 dine-in and delivery locations citywide, including Friedman’s, Kossar’s and Suram. The original Hudson Yards Casa Louie, helmed by Jonah Phillips and Marom Unger, has maintained a 4.7-star Google rating since debuting in early 2025, with diners regularly singling out the gluten-free crusts, meatballs, tiramisu and cocktails.
