The 13th annual Chanukah on Ice NYC will take place at Lasker Rank, at the northeast corner of Central Park, on Sunday, December 22nd from 5 to 8pm.

Participants will skate to live Jewish music throughout the night, accompanied by a life-sized dreidel mascot. Attendees will enjoy complimentary hot drinks, hotdogs, soup, latkes and traditional latkes and holiday doughnuts. A giant hand-carved Ice Menorah will be lit in a special Chanukah ceremony halfway through the event.
With Chanukah on Ice happening on the first night of Chanukah and right before the school holiday break, organizers estimate a crowd of 1,000 people will come out to Central Park to kick off the eight-day festival.
Inspired by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson of blessed memory, today, the unprecedented public display of Hanukkah has become a staple of Jewish cultural and religious life, forever altering the American practice and awareness of the festival. This year, Chabad-Lubavitch will set up more than 15,000 large public menorahs in more than 100 countries around the world, including in front of landmarks such as the White House, the Eiffel Tower, and the Kremlin.
