Check out Easter 2017 on the Upper West Side!

Every year, we anticipate the arrival of Easter to remind us of the beginning of spring and the joy of longer daylight hours. A traditional holiday that brings families, friends, and communities  together through many fun festivities. This year, Easter is coming decidedly early to put an end to a long winter behind and help us discover the great outdoors again. The Upper West Side is embracing the warmer temperatures with a bunch of different events ready to delight the whole family. From egg hunts to church recitals and themed brunches, our neighborhood picks for Easter are bound to make it an egg-ceptionally great one!

Egg Hunt and Bunny Fun

Riverside Park
Upper West Side Easter

What would Easter be without a good ole egg hunt? For those with families, this is the most exciting event out there for children as they get to explore Riverside Park in search of hidden surprises. Think N Fun’s Egg Hunt and Bunny Fun is one of the most popular Easter events of the neighborhood and kids love the opportunity to take a special picture with the bunny after the treats have been collected. Each child receives a festive painting stamp, a cute accessory, a light beverage and a bunny basket. Think N Fun specializes in offering family events and classes for adults and children on the Upper West Side and they’re all about making education fun. Make sure to attend this stress-free and relaxed event on March 26.

Egg Decorating and Nest Making Workshop

The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine

Upper West Side Easter

A fun alternative to the classic egg hunting ritual is taking place at The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine (a beautiful church!). This annual event is a unique activity for children as they get to design their very own Easter eggs. The decorating and nest making workshop supplies participants with the necessary materials such as tissue paper, glitter, glue, and paint. Parents only need to worry about bringing two hard-boiled eggs with them and making sure they reserve a spot before the activity on March 19th. Kids will have a blast letting their imagination run free and parents will have just as much fun watching them get creative and making nests with twigs, feathers, and clay.
