Eataly Caffè, the Italian marketplace brand’s coffee bar concept, finally has an opening date on the Upper West Side, and it’s planning a full weekend of giveaways to celebrate.

The caffè will open at 2252 Broadway, on the corner of West 81st Street, on Friday, November 6, at 3 p.m., Eataly announced. It’ll be the concept’s fourth location in New York City. Signage first went up in July at the corner, the former home of the famous “You’ve Got Mail” Starbucks, which closed in September 2025.

The first 100 guests in line on opening day will get gifts. On Saturday and Sunday, starting at 11 a.m., Eataly will hand out complimentary mini hot chocolates and fall-inspired flower bouquets while supplies last.

The menu centers on coffee made with Eataly’s own 100% arabica beans, alongside sweet and savory pastries, Roman-style pizza alla pala and grab-and-go meals. For fall, the caffè will also offer rotating seasonal items for a limited time, including a maple cappuccino, specialty hot chocolates and caramelized apple bomboloni.

“Eataly’s story in North America began in New York City 16 years ago, so opening another concept here in Manhattan is especially meaningful for us,” said Craig Kennedy, president of Eataly North America. “We can’t wait to welcome in the Upper West Side community this November and share our authentic Italian caffè experience with them.”

The Upper West Side follows the Upper East Side, where Eataly opened an Eataly Caffè at 1122 Lexington Avenue last December.
