Lily’s Roasters held its grand opening on Sunday at 109 West 86th Street, between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues. The shop is the first venture from owners Ariana and Bessi, who first announced plans for the cafe earlier this year.

“After spending more than a decade working in restaurants, we wanted to create a place that feels personal, welcoming, and rooted in the neighborhood,” the owners said. “Lily’s blends specialty coffee roasted in small batches, fresh pastries (currently delivered from Balthazar and two bakeries in Brooklyn), and a warm atmosphere inspired by classic New York cafés with a subtle nostalgic feel.”

Espressos start at $3.75, with a cortado at $4.75, a flat white at $5.00, a cappuccino at $5.25, and a 12-ounce latte at $5.50. Mocha lattes and ceremonial matcha both run $6.00, chai latte is $5.75, and cold brew is $5.25. A 12-ounce drip goes for $3.50 — among the more affordable specialty pours in the neighborhood. Add-ons include an extra shot ($1.75), flavored syrups ($0.50), non-dairy milk ($0.75), and ice ($0.75).

Lily’s Roasters is open Sunday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Here are some early reviews (all positive as of writing). You can follow the shop on Instagram for updates and more info.
