Second Child Reported Missing From Same UWS Building in Less Than a Month (UPDATE: HE’S BEEN FOUND)

UPDATE: Police announced on June 9 that 11-year-old Ibrahim Abdul-Halim has been found. 

NYPD officials have issued an alert about a missing child who resides on the Upper West Side.

Police say an 11-year-old boy named Ibrahim Abdul-Halim, who lives at 210 West 64th Street (between West End and Amsterdam avenues), was last seen at his residence on Thursday, June 5 at approximately 5:50 p.m.

Abdul-Halim has brown eyes, short black hair, and is approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall and 75 pounds, according to the police report. He was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, gray checkered pants, and multicolored sneakers.

Last month, a 16-year-old boy named Andrew Ahtay—who lives in the same building, part of NYCHA’s Amsterdam Houses—was also reported missing (for at least the third time since 2020). We reached out to the NYPD and an official confirmed that Ahtay is still missing.
