UPDATE: the missing individual described in the report below has been found, police announced on Feb. 25.
NYPD officials have issued an alert about a missing Upper West Side woman. Police are hoping someone from the public will be able to assist them in locating her.
Majorie Cleonese-Laporte, a 94-year-old Black female, was last seen leaving her residence at 315 West 94 Street (between Riverside Drive and West End Avenue) on Thursday, January 8 at about 1:52 p.m.

“The missing is described as a female, 5 feet 4 inches tall, and 110 pounds,” police wrote. “She was last seen wearing a long beige trench coat and pushing a shopping cart.”
It isn’t immediately clear why a missing persons alert was not issued sooner.
