81-Year-Old Man Assaulted in Broad Daylight

NYPD officials have issued an alert about an incident of elderly assault which took place on the Upper West Side this weekend. Police are hoping someone from the public will be able to assist them in identifying and locating the wanted individual.

According to the police report, an 81-year-old man was walking in front of 2049 Broadway (the McDonald’s on 71st Street) on Sunday at about 8:45 a.m. when the unknown suspect “approached him and punched him multiple times in the face.”

The victim was treated by EMS at the 20th Precinct, and the suspect fled the location on foot southbound on Amsterdam Avenue.
