66-Year-Old Man Struck on C Train: Police

NYPD officials have issued an alert about an assault which took place on a train passing through an Upper West Side subway station last month. Police are hoping someone from the general public will be able to assist them in identifying and locating the wanted individual.

According to the police report, the incident occurred on Wednesday, January 8 at about 4:15 p.m., when a 66-year-old man was riding a northbound C train. When the train was at or near the station at 86th and Central Park West, an unidentified suspect struck him in the face, causing him to sustain injuries.

The suspect fled by foot in an unknown direction. Police describe him as “a male, approximately 5′ 10″ in height, approximately 175 lbs., wearing [a] multi-colored jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.”
