The 57th New York Film Festival lineup will feature more than two dozen films from 17 different countries. This year’s festival will run from Friday, September 27th – Sunday, October 13th.
This major annual film event has been considered a centerpiece of New York culture since 1963. It introduces essential new cinematic works from around the world to U.S. audiences, and features a variety of different genres. Presented by Film at Lincoln Center, the 17-day New York Film Festival highlights the best in world cinema, featuring works from celebrated filmmakers as well as fresh new talent.

The 57th New York Film Festival schedule kicks off with the debut of a highly anticipated Martin Scorsese film titled “The Irishman”, and includes the final film directed by the late French director Agnès Varda, titled “Varda by Agnès”.
The festival’s features display scenes of Spain with “Pain and Glory,”,and transports viewers to Japan with “To the Ends of the Earth.” The festival will close with a story from New York with “Motherless Brooklyn“.
Additional highly anticipated films include Noah Baumbach’s “Marriage Story”, which is also an upcoming Netflix release. The film takes place in New York City, and stars Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson.
Tickets for the festival are on sale for the general public. Those wishing to attend can purchase a maximum of two tickets per screening online or in person.
