UPDATE: Tory Burch’s Dog Returns Home!
Designer Tory Burch is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who can find and safely return her missing dog named Chicken. Her dog is a brown female miniature poodle and is also microchipped.
Burch posted on Instagram that she last had her dog in Central Park, near 61st and Fifth at 7:30pm. But apparently, Chicken was seen around midnight in front of First Republic Bank, located on 56th Street and Madison Avenue.

According to ABC7NY, no one had scanned the dog’s chip as of Tuesday.
At around 2:20pm this afternoon, Burch updated her Instagram post. “This is Chicken’s family,” she wrote. “Thank you so much for finding her! We know you are taking good care of her. Please help us bring Chicken home, as we miss her terribly! We will provide you a great reward. You are our hero!! We love her so much and want her to come home.”
Of course, Chicken is not the only beloved pet missing in New York City. The NYC Health website recommends owners make sure their pet is wearing a valid license and is microchipped. If a pet is lost or ran away, NYC Health also advises checking the New York Animal Control Center (ACC).
ACC is committed to reuniting families with their missing pets. The center takes in lost and stray animals in their care centers located in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island and is held there for 72 hours. (According to the ACC website, after 72 hours, the animal is released to the shelter and evaluated for placement.)
